Here are links I found interesting on August 28, 2012:
- ‘We’re Not Going to Let Our Campaign Be Dictated by Fact-Checkers’ – James Bennet – "What if it turns out that when the press calls a lie a lie, nobody cares?"
- How a pilot uses the iPad – Great article on Gigaom.
- Rick Santorum repeats Romney claim that Obama is ending work requirement in welfare – Again: Why let the truth get in the way of opponent bashing. It's election season!
- Want to use your iPad during takeoff? Tell the FAA – "The Federal Aviation Administration is asking for opinions on the use of portable electronic devices on flights — including during an airplane’s take off and landing." Finally!
- Ryan Income Claim FALSE – According to PolitiFact.com. Read the details here.
- Romney tells miners ‘you’ve got a great boss.’ That boss made them lose pay to listen to Romney. – So the miners are required to go to a Romney event and because they go, they lose pay. And I'm sure they're all Republicans, right?
- Republicans really should have bought up that billboard space … – Hilarious indeed!
- Cheers for the Apple vs. Samsung Verdict – I agree with Ted's analysis here.
- Authors Behaving Badly: How I Pissed Off Legions of Emily Giffin Fans – Authors need to learn to NEVER read negative reviews of their work on Amazon or elsewhere. If you don't read them, they won't make you angry — or make you respond in regrettable ways.
- Paul Ryan Said Something That Should Force Him Off the Ticket, But You Probably Didn’t Hear About It – "Last week, Paul Ryan gave an interview in which, defending his position that there should be no excuses for abortion, he referred to rape as a 'method of conception.' And apparently only the author of this piece cares.
