• Stop the press: half of self-published authors earn less than $500 – This does not surprise me at all, given the sheer quantity, overly aggressive discount pricing, and lack of quality among most self-published ebooks on Amazon and elsewhere. There's so much competition, that even the best authors have to sell themselves short in a seriously price-sensitive market. I'm pleased to be in the other half of this stat, but not by enough to terminate my relationship with traditional print publishers and go permanently solo as a self-publisher.
• The Facebook Fallacy – "Facebook is not only on course to go bust, but will take the rest of the ad-supported Web with it." It's all a matter of time.
