Here are links I found interesting on March 1, 2012:
- Sheriff Joe Arpaio Claims Obama Birth Certificate A ‘Fraud’ – As if we needed more proof that this man is an idiot.
- When Patents Attack! – "Why would a company rent an office in a tiny town in East Texas, put a nameplate on the door, and leave it completely empty for a year? The answer involves a controversial billionaire physicist in Seattle, a 40 pound cookbook, and a war waging right now, all across the software and tech industries." This American Life explains.
- Little Libraries have people thinking (and reading) outside the box – Take a book, leave a book. What a neat idea.
- NPR Tries to Get its Pressthink Right – It now commits itself to avoiding the worst excesses of “he said, she said” journalism. It says to itself that a report characterized by false balance is a false report. It introduces a new and potentially powerful concept of fairness: being “fair to the truth.”
