Here are links I found interesting on July 14, 2011:

  • The Cube Project – I could live in this. Really.
  • Analysts: Android & Windows 8 Tablets to Magically Catch iPad – Wherein Bryan Chaffin explains why some analysts are completely clueless.
  • Quicken and Lion: Intuit Strikes (Out) Again – Ted Landau explains how Intuit drops the ball and offers a lame attempt at picking it up.
  • Reclaiming the Finder in Lion – Want the Lion Finder to behave more like Snow Leopard? Read Ted Landau's tips. It's worth it, just for that Terminal code snippet.
  • Obama says he’ll risk job for debt deal – The problem is, it's more important for Republicans to make the president look bad or, better yet, FAIL, than to help the American people who voted them into office. It's more important for Republicans to protect their bank accounts and the interests of their wealthy supporters than to ensure that Americans who voted them into office will continue to get the Social Security and Medicare benefits they paid for over the course of their lifetimes, expecting those benefits to keep them comfortable and healthy in their later years. It's more important for the Republicans to make this a political issue than to DO THE RIGHT THING and fix the mess that George W. Bush's unbridled spending got us into by spending as if Armageddon was right around the corner (which he likely believes). We need spending cuts AND tax hikes. We must pay for the services we get and take care of our country.

Will Be Back Shortly

Once again, I have to apologize for taking time off from this blog. I’ve been really busy — this time flying (finally!) and with a video project related to my Lion book. I have a ton to blog about but no time to write. I also have a bunch of new photos to share.

So bear with me; with luck I’ll be blogging again this weekend.
