You most certainly have earned your spores on every subject matter you have written about. Here it is about writing, but generally it is about following one's star - being passionate about something and having the requisite competences to make that passion something more than a serving the "self". Sure, we all need to earn the coins to sustain us at whatever level we feel is desirable or at least adequate. But above all, there is such thing as "psychological income". Isn't that the ultimate currency anyway?

Back to writing - are we writing to please ourselves? To earn tangible income? Seek recognition? There is at least one additional reason for writing, and that is on matters that have durable value but not necessarily in the short term - matters that need to be addressed as well as resolved for us as a species.

I have always felt that anyone who writes something effectively sequesters someone else's time to read it. To me, writing implies an obligation to contribute. Over the time that I read what you wrote, you always contribute. That is why you are the only newsletter I subscribe to.

Eventually I will be able to point you to what I am writing about, and I tend to believe that you may find it worth your time to read. But it is my obligation to present it so that it can be read. That is where I fight my battles, and to see how words on so many topics seem to flow so easily from your "pen" and to witness your writing discipline is one of the reasons why I think that your blog, your views, your experiences, challenges and accomplishments in general mean so much more to me than any particular topic you address.

All said and done, you are a "GIVER", you are passionate about what you have done and do, and you are accomplished. It's not the many books you wrote, it is not about your helicopter and related adventures. Your blog is about a very accomplished, strong-willed as well as tightly focused but diversified person whose writings I thoroughly enjoy, and I felt that I had to express my appreciation for your being here.

I know that I am serving my own needs to write this more so than to meet your needs to read it. Thanks for all that you do and share with all of us.

Hi

I am not native speaker. However I have been writing for sometime. I always write for online business and I have been thinking of making this as a career. As being non-native, it is really hard to accomplish that goal.
