Best of luck with your show! Where is it going to be held?

This morning was beautiful for photography around the lake. Overcast with shafts of sunlight illuminating random red buttes. Too bad I had both hand full (flying) while I was admiring it all. Hope my passengers got some good shots. Can't wait to go down into Lower Antelope Canyon again for a few hours. Maybe next week.

Maria,

Another great post. I especially enjoy this one because my first solo show that starts this Wednesday is a combination of both digital and film photography. The owner of the salon liked my black and white work so I focused on it since early summer. I will be presenting around 6 film prints I made in 2007 while I took my photography class and had access to the wet lab and I have priced them higher than the digital prints. In my show description, I have added the following statement to explain the reason for the higher price.

"The exhibit contains both film and digital photography and you may notice a higher price for the silver gelatin prints. This is due to their rareness and individuality, and the fact that each stage of the film print’s life was controlled by me; from the moment that the idea for the photograph was conceived, to depressing the shutter, to the development of the negative, to the making of the print, and finally to the matting and framing."

I'm curious to see if they'll sell because they cost more, and if not, I still really enjoy them and would be happy to have them hanging on my walls at home. I suppose that's the wonderful thing... I love all of the images, but if somebody else does too, that makes my day.
