Maria, the heli is a Bell 212, twin engine variant successor to the priginal UH.1 / Bell 205 ‘Huey’. As such it is often referred to as the ‘Twin Huey’.

The Bell ‘chopper in question is indeed a 212. The 412 has a four-bladed rotor. If you care to provide me an snail mail address (offline?) I would be happy to send you a compact directory of civil aircraft that I have in my collection. It’s 11x8x1/2″ and would probably fit nicely in one of the map pockets of your Robinson.

The K-Max seats just one: the pilot.

As for focusing to Infinity, my camera MUST support it, but I keep forgetting to look it up in the book. My bigger problem is the lack of view finder — I have a terrible time using a tiny screen to frame my images.

Re blurry photos, just a thought, can you set the focus to infinity when photographing distant scenes – it may help if your little camera supports it.

Wow the K-Max is a really weird looking contraption. Whoever designed it was really thinking outside the box. It doesn’t look like it has much cabin space though!
