I am in this area myself. I am fairly wordy, and most of my blogs end up around 1100 words. Right now, I am working on a piece that will end up being over 2000 words, and I am afraid it's too long.

I am weighing the options of breaking it into two smaller posts, but I am afraid that doing so will end up alienating the readers I am trying to get (I am new to this and still trying to get people to view my site) by putting up a multi-part post on a non-established blog.

I just don't know which approach will work better for me, but thank you for your insight.

Beek's last blog post: Review: "Just After Sunset" by Stephen King

Nope. Sorry to say that I don't. But have you searched the support forums on wordpress.org? Sounds like something that could be implemented with a plugin. Good luck.

Do you know any way to limit how many characters a member on a WP blog can write in a post? I'd like to limit to say 300 chars for certain members, and lets say 900 chars for members in another group.
