I find them extremley helpful. Some are better than others, but all sympathetic to your problem. Had a problem with my new Intel Mac and spent 30 hours over 5 days at the bar. This is a great benefit of owning a Mac. If you have a problem you can get a no charge evaluation and possibly a no charge repair. My friend took in a MacBook for evaluation of what seemed like a dead Ethernet port. Turns out that was fixed by zapping the PRAM.
