Ah! Sorry about that. I think a smiley would have tipped me off, though. ;-)

My suggestion you "write for a living" was tongue-in-cheek.
I DO hope your side-job *doesn't* get "out of control..." :>) I passed your article along to some friends from our previous trip, and already heard back from one saying, "Let's do it again!" SO - you might hear from us for some fun flying.

Thanks, Dave. But here's something you must have missed: I have been writing for a living since 1990. I'm working on book #76 now. Flying was a side job that got out of control.

Maria-
Very much enjoyed your recounting of your Lake Powell flyovers. I just happened upon it doing a Google search of "Lake Powell Maps." Nine years ago a group of friends rented an "Admiral Class" houseboat for a week and worked our way upstream. I was "designated photographer," and took hundreds of photos with a first-generation Nikon CoolPix. They turned out great, but wished I had aerial perspective. If you ever get tired of hand-on-the-collective, I suggest you write for a living.

Maria, it was wonderful experience, and I was not disappointed at all! I simply was overwhelmed. I'm a graphic artist and photographer, and the visual perception of the world surrounding me is my sharpest feeling. What I just have seen filled all my "mental storage," not sharing space for other feelings, sorry. Thanks again and hope to see you in the first part of September.

And about Igor - all the same)
